Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) has launched the Inspire Initiative--an innovative community-driven project to increase access to the outdoors for youth in underserved communities.  This five-year strategy is aimed at inspiring Coloradans, particularly kids, to appreciate, enjoy and take care of our great outdoors.  As part of this effort, a small number of communities across Colorado have been selected to apply for Inspire Grants, which could infuse up to five million dollars in each community to increase access for youth to natural places, provide youth with outdoor career pathways, and increase access to programs that will engage youth in nature from the backyard to the back country.

Denver's Cole and Westwood neighborhoods were among the communities selected, and partners in these two areas have come together to create the My Outdoor Colorado initiative, a vibrant and dedicated collaborative that is leading the way in applying for Inspire funds from GOCO.
